Natural Organic Skin Care

Organic Skincare product is one where the raw ingredients (eg plant extracts, waxes, oils), are not treated with pesticides and other chemicals while growing or during processing. Natural products, such as sea weed as a fertilizer, can be used in the process as long as these products also are natural. 

Further tests are done to ensure the plants purity and organic status right through the production phase of a product.   This guarantees the organic status, and therefore a much better product. The key bodies providing this certification are The National Association for Sustainable Agriculture, Australia (NASAA) or by Australian Certified Organic (ACO).

Many of us use more than 20 different beauty products a day, including: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser, toner, cleanser, talc, body lotion, deodorant, foundation, concealer, eye shadow, lipstick, nail polish …… the list goes on.   These products are applied directly to the skin, lips, around our eyes and hair. The problem is that our bodies do absorb chemicals through our skin.

This means we are absorbing and ingesting a huge amount of chemicals each day, unless we do as so many consumers are already doing, and switching to milder and less harmful organic alternatives. Scientific research may vary on the severity of damage that cosmetic chemicals cause, but the one sure thing is – it’s not Organic.
